Description
1940 WDDR-005 is a doubled die reverse on the 1940 Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Both wheat ears, EPU (E PLURIBUS UNUM), and the dots show extra thickness. Wexler notes no obverse markers. On the reverse, north-south scratches cross the O and N of ONE, the C of CENT, and the AT of STATES. Brian Allen submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
