Description
A very close Class II spread towards the center shows on USA and QUARTER DOLLAR.Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die files as 1938 25¢ WDDO-003. A spread to the north shows on GOD, WE, and the UST in TRUST. It is similar to, but not quite as strong as WDDO-002. Numerous N/S die scratches run through IGWT. A die scratch curves south from under the tip of the nose. Two die scratches curve SW from the upper left of the I in LIBERTY. Reverse: A strong die gouge protrudes from the right wing under the N in UNITED.
