Description

Doubling shows as an extra eyelid north of the upper eyelid. Die Markers: Obverse: Vertical die scratches are present above 19 in the date. A diagonal die scratch shows in the field right of Lincoln’s mouth. Two parallel die scratches run NE from the forehead. A small die gouge is present on Lincoln’s neck well south of the ear. Light die scratches run about vertically above the B in LIBERTY. Vertical die scratches show below the ER in LIBERTY. Reverse: A die scratch runs NNE inside upper left curve of the C in CENT. Concentric die scratches run through the O and N in ONE and the upper E in CENT. Diagonal die scratches connect the O in OF with the U in UNITED. A number of crisscrossing die scratches are present in AM in AMERICA. A small die gouge is present under the left side of M in AMERICA. Obverse:
