The variety progresses through multiple die stages tracked under two die marriage records. Under UVC-0036 / DMR-002, Stage A shows numerous die scratches across the obverse in early die state, with a die chip developing on the beak and a light die chip on the ribbon knot in later die state. Stage B remains unconfirmed at mid-die state. The die was then paired with a new reverse as UVC-0037 / DMR-003, where Stage C shows a die crack running across the bust in late die state with a light die crack forming in the upper hair, while the replacement reverse enters mid-die state.
