Description

Doubling shows as extra eyelids visible to the north and south of the normal eyelid. Die Markers: Obverse: Concentric die scratches run ENE into the field from the front of Lincoln’s lower jacket. A long series of concentric die scratches run from the rim above and right of IN GOD WE TRUST. A vertical die scratch runs south below the L in LIBERTY. A die gouge (dot) shows to the right of the upper Y in LIBERTY. A diagonal die crack runs above the VDB initials. Reverse: A die gouge (dot) shows above the left edge of N in ONE. A die clash line runs from the lower E in ONE through the upper right arm of the N in CENT. A die clash line shows to the right of C in CENT. A die scratch runs southeast from the lower right curve of the O in OF. A light die scratch runs NE through the opening of the C in AMERICA. A die gouge (dot) shows to the right of the lower last A in AMERICA.
