Description
An extra eyelid shows to the east of the main eyelid. Die Markers: Obverse: The mint mark is a repunched mint mark listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1928-D 1¢ WRPM-001. It is a very nice D/D South. A die gouge (dot) shows in the field just to the east of Lincoln’s bowtie. Another die gouge (dot) shows to the right of the right leg of the R in LIBERTY. A long die scratch runs parallel to the upper part of the center fold in Lincoln’s vest. Reverse: A strong die scratch extends NW from the upper left O in OF. A die gouge shows just to the left of the lower second U in UNUM. A die scratch runs parallel to the lower left T of CENT.
