Extra thickness from the doubled die shows on the date, LIBERTY, and IN GOD WE TRUST, reflecting hub misalignment during die production that displaced these design elements. The concurrent WRPM-008 attribution documents an S mint mark punched over itself three times with rotation between each application — a striking example of the hand-punching variation that characterized pre-1990 mint mark application.
