This 1922 Peace dollar doubled die reverse exists in a documented die marriage with WDDO-003, whose obverse carries doubling on the date, designer's initials, the L in LIBERTY, and IN GOD WE TRUST. Attributed by the Wexler Team as WDDR-005, the obverse die shows a nearly horizontal die scratch below the R in LIBERTY, while the reverse carries a small die gouge dot to the right of the upper part of a ray between the O and first L in DOLLAR. The die marriage pairing means collectors who locate either the doubled obverse or doubled reverse may hold a coin exhibiting both varieties simultaneously, making this among the more desirable Peace dollar die pairings for variety specialists. The combination of two doubled dies in a single marriage is uncommon and significantly enhances the numismatic interest of WDDR-005.
