'''1E II 1 · B1a (Slanted Die Gouge Between IB) I-3 R-4''' '''Obverse II 1–''' Slanted die gouge in rays between I and B of LIBERTY. '''Comments:''' '''1.''' The die gouge on the VAM-1E looks very similar to the Hair Pin die gouge but has a small, indented zig-zagging line the goes under the rays running parallel to the die gouge. Very interesting and apparently unique among VAMs - especially since it occurs on the B1a (early) reverse!
