Description
1921-S VAM-1AR Scribbling Die Scratches #1 Became VAM-1AR1 1AR IV1 - D2a (Scribbling Die Scratches #1) (189) I-2 R-5 Reverse D2a- Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg and between eagle’s left wing and body. Die Marker- Series of small raised dots in vertical line inside wreath bow. Die file lines patch between right wreath and eagle's left wing. Comments: A heavy patch of vertical polishing lines between wing and right wreath is present on EDS coins. A clash must have happened when the press was set up with this die pair, and then it was immediately polished off the reverse.
