Description
1921-P VAM-1AE Scribbling Die Scratches 1AE IV1 - D1a (Scribbling Die Scratches) (189) Obverse IV 1- Slight doubling/tripling of left stars and some right stars. Reverse D1a- Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg, between eagle’s left wing and body, and in middle of eagle's right wing. Die marker- Short diagonal die scratch below wreath leaves above right L in DOLLAR. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Some specimens show very light pitting around LL of DOLLAR. Likely early die state pairing of 1921-P VAM-1I .
