1921-P VAM-101 Tripled Stars, Die Files Lines Neck, Scribbling Die Scratches Discovery July 2016 by Lee Stichka 101 IV 81 • D2a (Tripled Stars, Die Files Lines Neck, Scribbling Die Scratches) (189) Obverse IV 81 - Slightly tripled left and right stars toward rim. Crosshatch die file lines on Liberty's neck and light polishing lines at eye front. Die maker -Polishing lines in RT of LIBERTY. Reverse D2a - Same reverse die with scribbles at eagle's right leg as VAMs 44 and 45, but earlier die state. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Edge - Has 189 reeds instead of I.R. 157 of VAM 44.
