=1921-D VAM-1AJ2 Die Scratch Between O-F= Discovered by Rob Joyce, August 2003 1AJ2(revised) IV 1 · D2a (Die Scratch Between O-F) (189) Obverse IV 1– Very slight doubling and tripling on left stars and 19. Reverse D2a– Faint diagonal die scratch between O and F in OF. Very slight doubling of ED STATES O towards rim. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This variety has a small diagonal die gouge on the reverse between the O & F in OF. The gouge is long & thin, visible only at the right viewing angle. (also look for a gouge between "u" & "s" of "Trust", which may be present).
