Description
1900-S VAM-16 Near Date, 2 Olive Reverse Discovered by Martin Field, November 1984. Revised March 2023 16 III2 5 • C4/C3a (Near Date, 2 Olive Reverse) (189) Obverse III2 5 - Die Marker - All have die break across apex of cap, crack across back of neck into hair above date. Reverse C4/C3a - Wide V S Mint mark centered and upright. Shallow extra olive to the right of olive connected to olive branch. Slight doubling at base of left olive leaf cluster and back of lower arrow head. Die Marker - Chip in E in ONE above middle crossbar, lines in wreath bow. DPIS - RE2/LH4 Emission Sequence Obverse: 8, 16 Reverse: Comments: Same obverse as VAM 8, later die stage. Will always have break across apex of cap.
