1892 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-003

Description

A combination die variety on an 1892 Barber Quarter, this coin pairs a doubled die reverse (WDDR-003) with a doubled die obverse — the obverse is identified as WDDO-004, making this a dual-attribution variety. The reverse exhibits Class II tripling spread toward the center, visible on USA, QUARTER DOLLAR, stars, outer leaves, and arrow shafts. Cross-referenced as Flynn DDR-003 and Wexler 1892 25c WDDR-003. Obverse die markers include a die crack from the right point of the bust to star R1. The Class II tripling indicates at least three hubbing impressions contributed to the reverse die, with spread directed inward toward the center of the design affecting both lettering and decorative elements.
