Description
=1891-O VAM-12 Doubled Eye, Far Date, High O, Doubled Bow= Discovered by Richard Pawley, April 1998. 12(revised) III27 · C3g (Doubled Eye, Far Date, High O, Doubled Bow) (181) Obverse III27– Front of eye, eyelid and nose doubled. Upper lip and nostril opening also doubled. One to 4 left stars and first right star doubled on left side. Date set further right than normal. Reverse C3g– Doubled wreath bow at top and left inside and right outside. Feathers between legs and lower arrow shaft slightly doubled at bottom. III O mint mark set high and upright. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # 1891-O VAM-12 can be found with a single clashing event which does not result in letter transfer. # 1891-O VAM-12A shows a heavier clash w/ a very minor offset from the 1st clash (noticeable at the N of IGWT on the rev) VAM-12 also does not exhibit the die cracks @ STATES OF which 1891-O VAM-12A has.
