Description
1889-S VAM-14 S Tilted Left Discovery 2015, Brent Fogelberg. 14 III2 1 - C3b (S Tilted Left ) (?) Obverse III2 1 Date at right edge of normal lateral position. Die marker - Polishing lines in LIBERTY's ear. Reverse C3b - IV mint mark centered and tilted left. Die marker - Polishing lines inside wreath bow. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Reverse can be machine doubled (strike doubling) on virtually every letter. (RonH) The beard on the eagle's neck does show on the VAM-14, but just barely as shown in 1st set of LFCP's. It dissipates in time as shown in the 2nd set.
