'''DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: '''Comments: # 2013 - The 1A die progression has been separated into [[1888-O VAM-1A1, [[1888-O VAM-1A2, and [[1888-O VAM-1A3. # 1888-O VAM-1A Clashed E. The New Orleans mint had some issues in 1888 but their errors created some great VAMs. Two of arguably best Morgan varieties emerged from that branch mint on that year: VAM-1B Scarface and the VAM-4 Hotlips. The VAM-1B Scarface die break is probably the result of a die clash, just like this coin. The dies clashed on this VAM-1A and transferred the remains of an "E" from Liberty's headband underneath the Eagle's tail feathers.
