=1884-P VAM-7 Slanted Dash Under 8, Very Far Date, Doubled Eye= Discovered by Guy Messing, June 1975. 7(revised) III27 · C3a (Slanted Dash Under 8, Very Far Date, Doubled Eye) (188) Obverse III27– Slanted dash left of center below second 8. Slightly doubled eye lash. Date set very much further right than normal. Reverse C3a - DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # All examples I have seen boast a small die break from the rim to the first 8 in the date. (also seen on the plate shot below).
