The 1883 Hawaiian regular issues were authorized by King Kalakaua I and struck at the San Francisco Mint in dime, quarter, half dollar, and dollar silver denominations. Produced just ten years before the monarchy's overthrow, they represent Hawaii's most ambitious coinage program.
