=1881-S VAM-6 S/S Left= Discovered by James Cornish, November 1967. 6 III2 4 - C3b (S/S Left) (186) Obverse III2 4- Die chip between the loops on the right of the first 8 with a short die chip at top left inside of upper loop, surface doubling on bottom outside of lower loop and tripled on top left onside of lower loop. First 1 doubled slightly below upper crossbar. Second 1 doubled slightly on left side of shaft. Reverse C3b- Mint mark is repunched and tilted slightly to left with original showing as a long verticle spike within the middle of the upper loop opening and an arc to the right of the lower loop opening. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # The exact same obverse die was used to produce 1881-S VAM-4, 1881-S VAM-6 # This was NOT the exact same reverse die that produced the 1881-S VAM-5 or the 1881-S VAM-10, but there are some similarities (& they are all listed with a C3b rev.).
