=1881-P VAM-14 Doubled 8-1= Discovered by Martin Field, September 1980. 14 III2 14 • C3a (Doubled 8-1) (180) Obverse III2 14 - Doubled 18-1 in date. First 1 doubled slightly on top of vertical shaft. First 8 doubled at top right outside and on right outside surface of upper loop. Second 1 doubled all across very top. Reverse C3a - Normal die ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Late die stages will show doubling inside Liberty's ear from die fatigue. This was listed as 1881-P VAM-28 (now delisted).
