Description
1881-P VAM-10 Doubled 18-1 Discovered by Leonard Hinckley, February 1974. 10 III2 10 - C3a (Doubled 18-1)(180) Obverse III2 10 - 18-1 in date doubled. First 1 doubled slightly at top right of vertical shaft. First 8 is doubled at top inside of upper loop with die chip at top left inside of upper loop, doubled at top and right inside of lower loop and doubled at bottom outside of lower loop. Second 1 doubled slightly at top left. Faint dash just under second 8 in some specimens. Reverse C3a - Normal die Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: The 1881-P VAM-1A and the 1881-P VAM-10 were both produced with the exact same reverse die.
