=1880-P VAM-24 Doubled 1-80= Revision February 2007 by John Coxe. Revision May 2011, Todd Pollock. Revison 5 August 2011 by Scott Hamilton, reverted back to original 1880-P VAM-24. 24 (revised) III2 24 ∙ C3a (Doubled 1-80) (179) Obverse III2 24 – Doubled 1-80 in date with 1 slightly at top left of lower crossbar. right 8 on lower left outside of upper loop and at top left and right outside and slightly on lower left inside. Die chips at top inside of upper loop of right 8 and 0 on some specimens. Reverse C3a – ''Die marker'' - Small die scratches on wreath above LL in DOLLAR. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # On 5 Aug 2011 Leroy corrected the 2007 supplement plates for 1880-P VAM-24. The die markers for 1880-VAM-24 were actually 1880-VAM-50/50A. If you have a 1880- VAM-24 that was attributed using the 2007 plates showing the obverse and reverse die markers please recheck the attribution as they were actually a 1880-VAM-50/50A die markers. There is a scratch thru the initial and a die chip on the cap between the top of the cap and the left leaf. # This obverse shared with 1880-P VAM-24, 1880-P VAM-24A, and 1880-P VAM-57. # This reverse shared with 1880-P VAM-24, 1880-P VAM-24A, and 1880-P VAM-33B.
