1880-P VAM-1E Die Chip on Chin Discovered by John Coxe, May 2006 July 10, 2008 - ANACS reports VAM-1E removed from the ANACS population and changed the listing to VAM-25. 1E III2 1 · C3a (Die Chip on Chin) ( ? ) I-2 R-5 Obverse III2 1 – Large die chip on upper part of chin. Very slightly doubled top inside of first 8 lower loop and lower left outside of 0. Unusual die clash in coin center with curved bar in hair curl adjacent to jaw-neck junction from eagle’s neck front. Reverse C3a – Normal die with rectangular die marker with 2 dots above it. Marker is on eagle's right wing on the 9th outer feather from bottom. Die marker is the same as VAM-25 .
