=1880-P VAM-19A Tripled 8, Doubled 1-80, Pitted E-D= Discovered February 1999 by Dave Borofski. Revision 2012 19A(revised) III2 19 · C3a (Tripled 8, Doubled 1-80, Pitted E-D) (179) Obverse III2 19 – 1 doubled slightly below crossbar. First 8 is tripled at bottom right outside of both loops. Second 8 and 0 are doubled slightly at top left and right outside. 0 tripled slightly on left inside. Reverse C3a – Raised dots from rusted die pits between E and D of ONE DOLLAR and a few raised dots at right inside in O of DOLLAR. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Later die state of 1880-P VAM-19 (if in fact the 1880-P VAM-19 really exists). # 1880-P VAM-19A = 1880-P VAM-19 with reverse die pitting but no obverse die gouges. # 1880-P VAM-19B = 1880-P VAM-19A with reverse die pitting and obverse die gouges.
