Description
=1879-P VAM-7B Doubled 9= Discovered 2014 by Virginia Brownson and David Peltier 7B III2 7 - C3a (Doubled 9, Gouge Eagle's Beak) (179) Reverse C3a - Horizontal die gouge left side from eagle's beak. Short die gouge from left side of eagle's neck. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # An early prooflike stage with clashing and a faint tick of a line from the N is known. Not strong enough for a separate listing. # !879-P VAM-7B shares the exact same reverse die as the 1879-P VAM-7.2. The 7B is an earlier die state with a spike coming off the eagle's beak. The 7.2 shows only a tiny trace of said spike. The 7B and the 7.2 DO NOT share the same obverse die.
