=1879-P VAM-5 Doubled Date= Discovered by George Mallis, June 1965. 5 III2 5 ∙ C3a (Doubled Date) I-2 R-4 Obverse III2 5 - Date doubled at top with all numerals doubled at top outside. Open 9 variety. Reverse C3a - Normal die Comments: Tops of all digits are doubled fairly strongly.
