Description
=1879-P VAM-17 Doubled Date, Overpolished Wing= Discovered by Jim Baxter, May 1978. 17 III2 17 - C3a (Doubled Date, Overpolished Wing) (179) I-3 R-4 Obverse III2 17 - Entire date is strongly doubled at 10 o'clock. 1 doubled at top left and on left side of vertical shaft. 8 doubled at left outside and right inside of both loops with slight doubling at bottom right outside of lower loop. 7 doubled at very top, on left side of crossbar, at top left vertical shaft and faintly at bottom right. 9 doubled at left outside and right inside of both loops. Reverse C3a - Centers of both wings overpolished with fine diagonal polishing lines on eagle's left wing.
