Description
Completing the eagle-reverse trio in aluminum, J-1082 renders the proposed dime redesign in the lightest available metal. The eagle motif on an aluminum planchet creates an interesting tension between the symbol's implied strength and the coin's ethereal lightness. Despite the unconventional composition, the proof striking process captured every feather and taloned detail of Barber's eagle with remarkable fidelity.
