Description
Introducing a modified Seated Liberty obverse with an adjusted arrangement of the thirteen stars surrounding the central figure, J-1077 was struck in the standard silver alloy. The star positioning on dime patterns received careful attention from William Barber, as these small but symbolically important elements significantly influenced the overall aesthetic balance of the design. Each star variation tested a different visual rhythm around Liberty's seated form.
