Description
Featuring a Seated Liberty obverse paired with a reverse displaying an eagle rather than the traditional wreath, J-1080 represents a more ambitious redesign concept for the dime denomination. Struck in the standard silver alloy, this eagle-reverse dime harks back to earlier dime designs that featured the heraldic eagle, proposing a return to more majestic imagery for America's ten-cent coin. The eagle reverse would have given the dime greater visual authority and national symbolism.
Rarity Notes
