Description

Judd-426, Pollock-499, is the fourth 1865 proof quarter motto pattern. This variety continues the progression toward the final adopted design. The later varieties in the 1865 quarter series are increasingly close to the production version, with differences visible primarily to specialists. Struck in silver with proof finish to best represent the intended final appearance on regular production coins.
