Description
ADC-1c-1865-02 is an atypical die clash on an 1865 Fancy 5 Indian Head cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. There were two clash events, offset from one another, and in each the dies were off center. They show as lines running from Liberty's headdress down to her pearl necklace. The C of CENT left a mark left of Liberty's brow, and part of the shield from the reverse shows just above the necklace. MDC gives an overlay of the die positions for the weaker event and another for the stronger one. Russell Grayson owns the coin.
