Description
1857 WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse on the 1857 Flying Eagle cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. A strong Class I clockwise (CW) spread shows on USA, and on the eagle it reaches the beak, eye and head feathers, the left wing, the tail, the leg and the talons. Wexler notes no die markers on either side and does not record who submitted the variety. Snow numbers it S4 and CONECA DDO-002; Cherrypickers has it as FS-01-1857-101 and Flynn as DDO-006.
