Description

A 1795 Washington Liberty & Security halfpenny with a plain (unlettered) edge. The plain edge is the simplest edge treatment and distinguishes this from the lettered edge varieties (Birmingham, London, and Asylum). The obverse features Washington's bust with LIBERTY AND SECURITY legend. Plain edge examples are generally the most common of the Liberty & Security halfpennies.

Rarity Notes

Moderately scarce. The most common edge variety for this type.
