Description

A 1783 Washington & Independence cent with a draped bust of Washington but without the coat button found on the "Button" variety. The absence of the button is the primary diagnostic distinction between the two draped bust types. Both varieties share the same general design of Washington's draped bust obverse and wreath reverse with ONE CENT denomination.

Common for the type. Slightly scarcer than the Button variety.
