Description
A 1792 Washington Getz Pattern half dollar with the small eagle reverse and a lettered edge. The lettered edge inscription provides an additional design element and anti-counterfeiting measure. This variant combines the WASHINGTON PRESIDENT obverse, small eagle reverse, and lettered edge to create one of the most complex Getz pattern configurations. Only a handful of specimens are known.
Rarity Notes
Extremely rare. Lettered edge variants are the rarest Getz configuration.
