Strike Type
Coin Details
Description
An 1860s bronze copy of the 1792 Washington Getz Pattern half dollar struck by Christopher Idler. The bronze composition distinguishes this from the copper originals and other Idler copies in different metals. Idler's copies preserve the original Getz design: Washington's bust obverse with WASHINGTON PRESIDENT and an eagle reverse with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Rarity Notes
Rare. Bronze Idler copies are among the less common metal variants.
