1792 GW-27 - Ider Getz "Copy" Half Dollar
Strike TypeCoin Details
Description
An 1860s copy of the 1792 Washington Getz Pattern half dollar produced by Christopher Idler using original Getz dies. The misspelling "Ider" in the attribution is a common variant of the Idler name. These restrikes were made decades after the originals as collectors' pieces. The obverse features Washington's bust with WASHINGTON PRESIDENT legend, and the reverse shows a heraldic eagle.
Rarity Notes
Rare. Idler copies are scarce but more obtainable than Getz originals.
