Description
This 1787 Immunis Columbia piece with the eagle reverse is struck on a broad planchet with a plain edge. Crosby places the IMMUNIS COLUMBIA dies of 1786 and 1787 in a group of linked dies with the CONFEDERATIO and New York EXCELSIOR pieces. On the 1786 die Liberty sits on a globe holding scales; the 1787 piece pairs it with an eagle and E PLURIBUS UNUM. NGC lists the broad planchet separately.
