Description
This 1785 Immune Columbia piece in copper has the obverse with blunt rays. These pieces pair the eye-and-stars obverse of the Nova Constellatio coppers with Liberty seated, holding scales, and IMMUNE COLUMBIA 1785. Crosby lists them in gold, silver and copper and thought the dies probably cut by Thomas Wyon of Birmingham; no record says what they were struck for. PCGS number 831.
