Description

An 1785 Immune Columbia gold pattern with blunt rays, struck in gold rather than the standard copper. Gold strikings of Immune Columbia patterns are among the greatest rarities in all of American numismatics, with only a handful of specimens known. The blunt rays reverse matches the copper version but the gold composition elevates this piece to the pinnacle of colonial pattern coinage.

Rarity Notes

Of the highest rarity. One of the most valuable American colonial coins. Fewer than 5 known.
