Description
A 1787 Connecticut copper variety where a die crack or die flaw creates what is a horn projecting from the head of the mailed bust. Die cracks are common on Connecticut coppers due to the hard copper blanks and heavy striking, but this particular flaw creates such a dramatic effect that the variety earned its own name.

Scarce. The "horned" die crack variety is distinctive and popular.
