Description

One of the most popular Connecticut copper varieties, the "Muttonhead" of 1787 features a mailed bust facing right with an oddly shaped head resembling a sheep. The unusual portrait style, due to a poorly executed die, has made this one of the most recognizable and collected varieties in the Connecticut copper series.

Rarity Notes

Scarce but popular. One of the most recognized Connecticut copper varieties.
