Description
A 1787 Connecticut copper with the draped bust left obverse and the AUCTORI legend misspelled as AUCTOBI. This is one of numerous legend error varieties in the Connecticut copper series. The substitution of B for R indicates the die sinker confused the reversed letter punches during die preparation.
