Description

A 1776 Continental Currency dollar struck in copper with the single-R "Curency" spelling. Copper strikings of Continental Currency dollars are extremely rare and may represent trial or pattern pieces. The copper provides excellent detail retention compared to softer pewter, and surviving examples often show sharp design elements.

Rarity Notes

Extremely rare. Copper strikings are very scarce.
