Description

A 1776 Continental Currency dollar struck in brass with the single-R "Curency" spelling, classified as Type 2. Brass strikings are extremely rare for Continental Currency dollars and may represent trial pieces or special presentation strikes. The brass composition gives these pieces a distinctive golden color compared to the more common pewter issues.

Rarity Notes

Extremely rare. Brass strikings are among the rarest Continental Currency varieties.
