Description

A 1776 Continental Currency dollar struck in silver with the spelling "CURENCY" (missing second R). The obverse features interlocking chain links representing the thirteen colonies with the motto WE ARE ONE, while the reverse displays a sundial with the legend FUGIO and MIND YOUR BUSINESS. This is the silver version of the scarce single-R "Curency" die, making it one of the rarest combinations in the series. Continental Currency dollars were among the first coins produced under authority of the Continental Congress.

Rarity Notes

Extremely rare. Silver strikings are the scarcest metal for Continental Currency dollars.
