Description

A bronze (AE) second restrike (R2) of the Civic Procession Medal (GW-130), produced circa 1858. The Civic Procession Medal commemorates Washington's inauguration procession in New York on April 30, 1789. The obverse shows Washington's bust and the reverse depicts the procession scene. Second restrikes are later productions from the original dies, identifiable by die state and metal characteristics.

Rarity Notes

Scarce. Second restrikes are less common than first restrikes.
